Hoagy on the
reel...this is a rare occurance indeed. Notice that the capt. is having a cup of coffee as I snap this picture. Poor Hoagy... |
This is this marlin Hoagy had his hands full with. Good job Hoagy |
I suppose some credit
should be given to the captain. Here you can see his gloved hand on the marlin's bill. If the fish is in the boat then rest assured that I gaffed it. |
Back at the pier Hoagy & Don take a quick pose with the catch from this trip. |
I know we've caught
other fish than marlin, but I'm posting these as I find them. |
Hoagy & Don takes a break on the bridge while I take this picture just after my nap. What you don't see is where hoagy doubles times down the ladder to get his nap. |
There aren't many fish
on this cart but we were luckier than most on this day. |
This is a shot of the tuna boat working outside of Pearl Harbor. |
I often claim to be
the hardest working person aboard the "Sandy K", but from the photos I'm posting you wouldn't believe me. Here Hoagy washes down after a day at sea. This is when the crew runs for cover to keep from being hosed ourselves. |
Our first marlin of the new year.
This one Hoagy kept in the boat unlike our last marlin which threw the hooks and jumped out of the boat back into the water. Honest! |
